Gorgosaurus was a saurischian, theropod dinosaur. It was a member of the Tyrannosauridae family - the same family as Tyrannosaurus Rex! With its appearance very close to other tyrannosaurids the gorgosaurus, whose name means fierce lizard was a formidable predator at the top of the food chain. This biped, smaller than the T-Rex, could still measure up to 9 meters long and had a dozen large sharp teeth!
